Spa Industry Systems and Procedures

Course Notes:

What is a PROCESS?
• hey series of actions or steps taken in order to achieve a particular end
We may not realize it, but processes are everywhere and in every aspect of our work. Examples in plastic surgery is the protocol and surgeon takes washing and prepping his hands before going into surgery OR confirming appts at the beginning of the week.
What is a SYSTEM?
• A set of things working together as parts of a mechanism or an interconnected network
• A set of principles or procedures according to which something is done; an organized scheme or method
WHATS THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN A PROCESS AND A SYSTEM?
A system is an overall “thing”, or a core element, we are looking to have or implement in your business. The processes are all the things you do in order to make any given system work more effectively.
